Vadim Vlasenko triumphs in the flower festival

The first international flower festival “Flower Fantasies” took place in the House of the Blackheads. In the festival “Flower Fantasies” one could admire flower compositions that were made by representatives of several European countries and as well as flower costumes were demonstrated. Florist Vadim Vlasenko presented to public and jury an installation named “My masks”. The installation “My masks” includes seven imprints of artist’s face. “Remembering popular French impressionist’s Claude Monet experience who for two years painted the Cathedral of Rouen, I decided to search my identity,” said Vadim Vlasenko. “In the festival I displayed several compositions where I portrayed myself in different moods and in different hours of a day. The result of the experiment is quite interesting. Each mask is unique by putting accent on changes that appear in the person because of the interior condition.” In the festival he presented as well his works that are made for the theme of marriage: flower arc, wedding bouquets, wedding dress decorated with natural flowers. Congratulations to Vadim for the first place in the competition!
